About Us

The Haliburton Highlands Women’s Golf League (HHWGL) has been helping women in Haliburton County and beyond enjoy golf since 1995.

 

Started by a few local women as a 9-Hole league playing at several local Haliburton courses it is now both a 9-Hole and 18-Hole league. Play happens once a week for each section; on Tuesdays for 9 hole and on Wednesdays for 18 hole play.

Run totally by a volunteer team of executive elected annually by the membership we emphasize the social aspect while also stressing the etiquette of the game helping novice and experienced women golfers better learn the rules of the game while having fun!

 

We have an Opening “Tee” to start the season in May, and a Best Ball Bash, closing dinner, and Annual General Meeting in September. We welcome permanent and seasonal residents.
